negative captain. the only DOHC honda head you can put onto a SOHC block is the accord/prelude family of motors.

Believe it or not, while i was at Palmdale raceway i came across a CRX which had a SOHC D16A6 block with an 89 integra head. If im not mistaken, the SOHC ZC and D16 blocks are identical. The guy did mention that he had to do some drilling of some sort but i cant recall his exact words. I also had my video camera with me so i have it on video. The car ran no faster than a SOHC Si in the 1/4 and the guy said it himself, it wasnt worth doingand the only reason he did it was because he had a 89 integra as a donor car that he got for free.

Correct, it can be done with modification, but it sure is not worth it. The ONLY difference is one of the head bolt holes. If your looking at the front of the motor it's the top left hole. It's about 1/4 to 3/8 off. I found out cause i bought a sleeved ZC block, called the place to make sure it was a DOHC block. They assured me it was and they sent me a SOHC block. JG Engine Dynamics sucks.
