Default Discussion of cams for an otherwise stock JDM ITR.

I have a stock JDM ITR with bolt-ons, and hondata. I am looking for a set of cams to drop in with the stock bottom end, and valve train. Currently I am leaning towards the skunk2 stage 1's, as the seem to be the best bang for the buck.

Has anyone here had any good experiences with any other cams, in an otherwise stock ITR? Any dyno charts?

Is anyone making 200whp with just cams, bolt-ons, and tuning?

i'm using skunk stage II cams with skunk valvetrain and stock bottom on my JDM ITR. if you wanna make 200whp you might op to get a really good header. i made 176hp. also running bolt-ons and hondata. my cams require higher compression so i'm really not using them to there full potential yet. but i think if you wanna keep the stock valvetrain going with stage Is is good. do a search and see what some peeps have put down with Is. i've seen some better numbers than mine. good luck.

My friend has a 1998 JDM ITR in his CRX. He has a Zydne ecu , 68mm tb , JUN 2 cams , intake , header , electric w/p , fuel at 41psi. I know it is quite a difference in altitude , here in Nova Scotia , Canada we are around 300-600 above sea level. He made 189 whp

Thanks for the help so far guys. I am well aware that chosing the right bolt-ons, along with good tuning is going to be very key if I want to make anywhere near 200whp.

I also realize that 200hp is a rather lofty goal for that setup. I am not sure that I have seen anyone do it.

With stock cams, cam gear tuning, a very nice header, a good exhaust and intake, and VAFC tuning can get you close to 190whp.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. I should stress that I am not super concerned with putting down 200whp. It's just a number. Kind of a goal... but it is really only a goal because it sounds cool.

I would really like to see some dyno charts from people with ITR motors, and a set of cams dropped in.

Teamols - do you have any dyno charts?

Yeah, but the Jun 3's require the JUN valve train. I don't want to touch anything internaly other than the cam's.
