Default A death of a PY itr Last Night In Il.

One always hates to see one's pride and joy gone, especially if its done by thieves. However there are also other obstacles one must face on the road especially irresponsible drivers. But thank god the driver is ok, and hopefully will respond to this post (hang in there bud hope you'll get another one or your M3)

On 12/27/03 around 9:15 pm a PY Itr # 686 had its last run on the highway. She was a beauty indeed and I know I speak for those individuals who have seen her run through the hwy's of Il. She was mostly stored during the past months and has had some mechanical problems, but still she was an itr, a jdm itr in fact with the Oem jspec fascia. I know a couple of h-t members in il. might know who the owner is, so i'm not in the position to say or describe what actually happen. I've only seen pics, and the pics showed it completely totalled and gone. I will let the owner describe what happen and maybe have images put up. She will be certainly missed, had some fun and good times with her takn pics with my itr on lake shore drive.

Well that's it for me, just wanted to share it. I know me, will, justin and josh will miss that py itr around. Hope everything works out bud

Quite. 100% useless thread since it contains absolutely no useful information or pics.

Just my opinion.

Exactly,...so if the dude wants to share his accident pics, I'm sure he'd do it. I'd personally be pissed if ANYONE posted pics or any info on my car without my knowledge

01-0686 was Nvious R's car.

I'm just glad he did not injure any innocent bystanders.

This sure makes him look silly after talking trash to the IL guys who track their cars.

It's useful info to the folks here in IL, even without photos. We're friends (mostly) and look out for each other on the road.

I bet the flamers who live elsewhere wouldn't be flaming someone for posting about a lost ITR in their own area... to them.

So it's the same guy that did this... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=367777

Hopefully, the circumstances this time around were different.

We don't know what happened... why don't we withhold judgement until we all have the facts...

I thought this bit was somewhat prophetic:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by FrreeeBird &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Darwin is coming for you soon.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Seems Darwin (the mr. death of fools) came for is car.
I would like to know the rest of the details, though from the kills post there's not much sympathy to be had (and I only read the beginning till the V8 ).

update on the accident:
The accident occurred on 94hwy before the peterson exit. Kenny was on his way to visit friends that lived around the area. Before the peterson exit is foster's on ramp. Kenny and the passenger in the car indicated that they were going 65-70 mph and were on the middle lane of a three lane hwy. It just happens that a jerk in a jetta decides to merge into the middle lane after hopping onto it without even bothering to look nor signal and clipped him from the front. Seeing this kenny tried to tap on the breaks and avoid the car in front of him. however that was a little bit too late since breaking and getting clipped in the front forcing you to move slightly to the left will cause you to spin, especially if there was a car too close from behind who just happens to hit kenny's car after he starts to go sideways to the left after getting clipped. the guy behind him hits his car on the rear bumper close to the left quarter panel adding additional force to spin the car. Kenny tried to recover but after getting hit from behind, the driver who hit from behind had already slammed on his breaks causing another car behind him to plow into his rear bumper. Kenny's car was pushed to the left shoulder/inner lane of the hwy. luckily the car that was on that lane was able enough to stop. There was a total of 5 cars involved in the accident.

Now, clearly this wasn't his fault nor am i taking any sides on the event, however from what was described to me that accident was not his fault. A lot of you h-t members out there have already passed judgment on him as he was at fault regardless due to his post which was from LAST YEAR. I've read the post and dont condone nor encourage driving 130mph per hour..he knows that and he's smarter than that, but again THAT WAS A YEAR AGO. Its funny how no one even bothered to ask if he was ok or if anyone was hurt. Most of you assumed it was his fault automatically and even suggested it was fate for him to get into an accident. C'mon are you guys are actually telling me that you hope he gets into an accident. I know your not his friend or acquaintances, but geesh have atleast human courtesy. Who exactly in their right mind would wish or suggest it fate for anyone to get into an accident. No one was asking for human sympathy from any of you, i just wanted to post it to let you guys know that a fellow R is gone.

Yes there are no pics at the moment but they will be up this week as soon as kenny gets everything squared away with the insurance comp. and he visits the tow company. Thank you for those guys who pm'ed me and ask about his condition. He's a little sore and has a little sore on his left shoulder but he'll be fine. He gives his thanks to some fellow chicago itr owners who are a little bit more sympathetic than others are on this forum.

thanks ken(nsxtasy), i know most chicago itr owners on this forum know each other from meets and gatherings and would be disappointed on seeing another R gone.

I'm glad nobody got hurt.

Please try to use proper sentences, punctuation and some sense of logic when writing. It was painful to read what you wrote....

When I first read the title, I dunno why but I had a feeling that it's Kenny...... Maybe because I was JUST talking to a friend of mine last night who also knows Kenny.

Really sorry to hear that. I've been using the IL expressway every single work/school day in the past 8 years. It's really no joke that how stupid some people are when they merge or change lanes. During the holidays or weekend it is even worse.

Glad to hear that Kenny is physically ok.

In everyone's defense, your initial post said that the driver was okay, and did not mention that any other cars were involved. So I think it was natural to assume that no one was hurt.

As for the comments about the post from a year ago, I think people were assuming that he was engaged in the same kind of reckless behavior that he was bragging about at that time. (This was probably a natural assumption in the absence of further information.) It sounds like Kenny doesn't do that any more, and that's a good thing for him as well as the other 13 million people on the road in Illinois. Thanks for setting the record straight.

It's too bad that he had the accident, but when someone else on the road does something stupid, all you can do is react as best you can. It sucks when it's not your fault and you have to suffer the consequences. The car can be replaced, and the important thing is that no one was seriously hurt, but it still sucks to lose a car.

Thanks Kicker773 for keeping us up to date. Now, bring on those pictures!

Woohoo!
A chicago-related thread with me not fighting!

I'm sorry to hear about Kenny and his car. I just skimmed what Paul wrote... I guess I'll go back and read it all again.

Anyhoo, sorry to hear about Kenny's USDM R... (last i recall it wasn't RHD ) and glad to hear he is OK.

Hey guys, Shoulder's a little kickin from the seat belt. back's pretty back from bracing myself for the wall. Arms hurt from the 9 & 3 o'clock hand positioning.
Thanks for the concern and any remorse that anyone has shown. For those who have something else to say, i hope the day doesn't come when you eat those words for whatever bad luck may come your way. Well, pics are comin up, she's pretty bad but insurance is going to be handling it and everyone is ok. Im gonna miss the HT events and stuff but lets talk about a reasonable upgrade from a Type R in a 20-22k range. Any suggestions?

I'm glad to see you are uninjured and sorry to hear about your ITR being totalled. Also glad to hear that your street racing days are over.

For $20-22k, I would get a SRT-4.
