people from Snowy areas, what wheel are you using in the winter?
I found Prelude steelies for $40 each plus shipping.. anyone got a pic of ITR with Steelies? any other suggestion for the wheel?

 

You can also fit CRV steelies or Mazda millenia rims or Mazda 929 rims for a good price. They are all 15x6" rims and will clear your brakes.

 

I'm using the stock ITR wheels for winter Mugen's for summer.

 

The first winter for my baby is coming soon. I'm still unsure whether or not I want to drive the beater for the winter. I like driving the R too much to live w/o it for those long months.

 

I just bought the black steelies from the tire stores. Mounted Pilot alpins and they run great. The wheels were $20CND each. I can email a pic if you want.

I bought a second set of stock ITR wheels. Got the wheels with tires with 5k of wear for $600. Then I bought a set of allseasons for them.

 

Same here But let me tell you the past 2 winters I did drive my ITR and The paint took a beating, sand, salt ice etc etc etc Plus all the crap flying up off the road.
This year It being stored, especially with the new coat of paint

I drive just as hard with these wheels and they handle fine. They are not as stiff as the stockers but then again, who drives that fast in the snow

 

I drive my stock 15" on winter tires when the snow comes.. steelies under a ITR doesnt look good

 

I bought steel rims and Pilots from the dealership, and got raped and sodomized on the cost. I would highly recommend the tires, but wouldnt suggest paying Acura for the rims, if there are cheaper alternatives available.
