cheap(er) coil over set up, what ya think
i was think about doin this to save a few bucks, ive got tokico aluminas already so for coil overs i was going to buy a cheap pair of coilovers of ebay for lik 80 bucks and ditch the springs and keep everything else, then grab some custom rate eibach spring from ground control and throw those on the perches. I want 450f and 350r rates and it would cost 340 plus shipping to have that directly from ground-control so i think i can pull this off cheaper doing it this way, what do you guys think.
i was under the impression that the price of 340 included sleeves and springs.
and just curious why do you want 350r and 450f? if you switched them it will help with understeer a lot.

ok, i see. you will be fine with something on the lines of 300-375f and 275-350r then.
450 up front is pretty stiff and will make the car tend to understeer worse. as for scraping or denting the jdm dc, if you are slammed up front it will happen no matter what the spring rate. the clearance on that header isnt the greatest and potholes or uneven roads and bumps will still make it scrape.
