Default Optima Blue? or Yellow? Battery

Which one should i go with? i got two 12' subs. They are selling the yellow top for 140 with exchange of my oem (thats no good they said) at kragen, And the Blue top is being sold for 144 at Cosco. Think blue top is an overkill?

Go yellow. The blue has two extra terminals that just get in the way.

yea, blue is a marine battery...

red is for high performance cars...

yellow is for ricers who need to power their 48" hitachimatchiguchi TV screen

I remember hearing that the yellow top isn't designed for automotive use, unless you run 2 batteries via an isolator. I got my RedTop for $118 CDN at Costco.

The bluetop is supposed to be a better battery but the yellow is good also. The yelow is better than the red cause it is a deep cycle battery.

Go hardcore and get a Spoon lightweight battery. JDM yo. I have a Batterys Plus battery that has lasted me 1 1/2 years, and I've left my car on with the radio going for an hour or so several times. Still going strong.

Interstate said that only the yellow top factory fit 12volt version is available for 92-95 eg's... If you are tryin to power a "mega sound system" try upgrading your capacitors, alternator or add another battery in the rear...

Gay. If you're doing it for weight reasons get the same battery HT user Rodney uses (search for his thread if you care). But since none of this is relivant to the original poster oh well.

A red top definately won't fit in a 92-00ex or any other 92+ civ that I've seen. Or at least it won't fit in the stock battery location, its a couple of inches too deep.

I'll get red but that is still too heavy, if you are concern about weight get something else!!

Yea it is heavy, waaaay heavier than my stock one. But i need something that will feed enough juice to 800 wt amp, and 2 12' subs, and start up my car. My stock one would do it, but after not starting the car for two days, battery would die out.
