OT: Tampa Prelude Dyno Day
Here's the latest: from the responses so far, I think we'll be bringing along, at the very least, 10 people who wish to dyno their cars. With these numbers, prices will be around $40 for three runs, with an allowance for minor tuning in between each run. If we get 15 or more people, that price may drop some more. Also note that this dyno is also equipped with a Wideband O2 sensor for Air/Fuel readings.
Now that the interest is there, it's time to set a date that will be convenient for everyone wishing to participate. Because this event depends on the number of people who show up, we'll keep a very loose schedule as far as setting a date goes, as I don't want this to interefere with anything more important (yeah, right! As if anything could be more important than watching Prelude's getting dynoed
)I'm gonna choose SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13th as the preliminary dyno date. It's around three weeks from now, so that should be ample time for preparation and a little cooler weather to boost the HP numbers a little bit. Also, rain or severe weather won't affect the dynoing process itself, as it is done indoors.
So everyone go and check the schedules to see how the next few weeks look like. The best time I think will be around noon, just after everyone meets, or we could all meet up at a local McDonald's or Taco Bell (both within 30 seconds of the facility) and eat lunch there.
Depending on how many people show up and how long it takes for each person to be done (usually 15-20 minutes per car), we should be out within 4 hours TOTAL.
Now, time for the feedback....who's in?
