Will MSD DIS-2 fire an HVC-2 coil?
And if so will it have any problems? I've found two versions of the HVC-2, one for 7 series ignitions and one for 6 series ignitions, which one would the DIS-2 fit into?

MSD DIS-2 can fire either one safely. If you have the regular DIS-2 box, I think is better to go with the HVC-2 coil for the 6 series, or if you have the DIS-2 high output box, going with the HVC-2 coil for the 7 series would probably be better, because a DIS-2 high output box has a higher max energy Output.

Thanks for the info. What about firing two HVCs per channel of the DIS-2. Would that make a difference in coil or box life?

I use the dis 2 with dual m&w coils. The coils are internally hooked up where 1 input supplies 2 coils. I use this for my 600whp application. If you need more help call Prentice at 868 678 4687 est time. He is my tuner.
HVC 2 coil for the 7 series puts out a peak current of 2 amp, and the 6 series puts out 450 ma. The regular DIS 2 box handles 4 amp at 10000 RPM, and the high output DIS 2 handles 5.3 amp at the same RPM. I don't see a problem running 2 of the HVC 2 {either} into one channel output.
