My CEL keeps blinking i am not throwing a code it just decides to turn its self on when it feels like! also when i turn the lights on my bright indicator is very dim until i turn the brights on then it turns bright but other wise it just glows when its not suppose to!

Uh, if it blinks its throwing a code.

 

its nit a constant blinking as if a code were being thrown as i stated in my first post! The comes on everyonce in a while eradically(sp??)!

I am not a dumbass i know the diffrence between a blinking CEL and a eradic flash!

 

blinking = bad... it usually means something needs to be checked ASAP!

 

sounds like u got a short somewhere buddy. possibly even in some of the wiring for the instrument cluster. if not then its probably a true CEL of some sort.

 

Not all codes have many blinks... 02 for example.. is one blink i believe. And it can happen at any time and go away and come back.
