Default What compression to use for turbo?

Ok I am building up a D series block for turbo. I will be putting forged pistons and rods in of course. My question is should I go with low compression (8.5:1), stock compression (9.1:1), or high compression (10.1-11.1:1). I have a small turbo kit ready to go on. It's a TD05 turbo off of a 1g eclipse. It won't put out to much so I was thinking about high compression with 5-6psi. I thought this because if I decide to take off the turbo later I will still have some power. But if I get low compression I can keep the boost all the way down till race time and then turbo it up all the way without worrying about the engine blowing. Also I am scared to go high compression because there could possibly be a future larger turbo installed for better boost. Which would be the best route to go?

i say go with stock compression or about 9.5:1. are you going to sleve the block? bore it out any? need more info on the build...

Yes I want to sleeve the block for strength. I'm having trouble finding sleeves for it though. Also how does it work when you sleeve a block. Do you have to bore out the sleeves for the pistons to fit or how does that work?

My low compression 8.4/1 gets 13psi by 3700RPMs with stock exhuast piping and a 2 1/4'' DP on my WRX turbo.

It makes 3-4psi just driving normal... I also ran over 13psi Non-intercoolered on it by mistake and all that went was the head gasket....

Of course since most honda people seem to think the basics of a street driven turbo cars don't apply to them, most will say " 11.5/1 compression and 10psi on the street, and 30psi with race gas, you just need a good FMS"..

it depends on the amount of boost you run but to get you started
if you run up to 10psi you can probably get away with 9.1 this while help eliminate detonation. if you run more boost you have to drop down to 8.1 to 8.5 so you engine does not detonate. also more than 10 psi its a good idea to resleeve you block.
