Alternator Removal / Brake Master Cylinder
Hi, (Two Questions
Question:
a. What can I loosen to drop the axle down another half-inch so I can slide the alternator out?
b. Can a loosen and pull out the brake master cylinder without disconnecting it in any way?
What I've done so far:
1. Unbolted the alternator and placed it on the cross member.
2. Unbolted the lower shock bolt on the driver side.
Thanks in advance,

You can take off the MC and lift it up sort of but it has hard lines going into it so it doesn't move much.
I hear a lot of people say just take off the alternator bracket. I tried doing that when I had to take out my alternator but those bolts were too hard to get at with an Impact Wrench and weren't budging with just a rachet. But your might not be as stuck.

you mean if you take off that bottom braket (that holds the alternator in with one long bolt) you can get it out the bottom.

Simple
just undo the 2 bolts holding the master cylinder down to the firewall but DO NOT disconnect the brake lines from it so you do not have to bleed the brakes. Just move the master cylinder to the left and above or close to the intake mani, the lines still connected wont break so dont be scared just dont twist em to much.
Undo the alt and it comes out no problem, no need to jack up the car
