Default all-motor How is this?

I'm planning on getting a 92-95 Civic HB and getting a GSR swap from hmotorsonline.com.

I was wondering around how much power this would make..

Skunk2 Stage 2 Camshafts
Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
Skunk 2 Cam Gears
Comptech header
Comptech Ice box intake
comptech exhaust
RC Engineering 440cc Injectors
Hondata

I'm not sure which pistons I would use Arias makes 14:1 pistons is it even possible to run 14:1 on pump gas? 93 octane

If not what is highest that I can run without risking damage to engine?

thanks.

Tough to get 14:1 on a stock bore/stroke, even with the biggest dome you can find. And if you are going over 12:1, you might a well go with Skunk 3's. Depending on how well built/tuned the motor is you are looking at between 190-220 whp.

I was never very impressed by Comptech products for the B series motors. There are better options IMO.

I'm sorry the Arias pistons are 13.6:1 and specs on them are bore: 3.346 stroke: 3.433

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Miz101 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I'm sorry the Arias pistons are 13.6:1 and specs on them are bore: 3.346 stroke: 3.433</TD></TR></TABLE>

That is not a stock bore. 3.346 X 25.4 = 84.9884 mm. (85mm)
Stroke is stock GSR/ITR-3.433 X 25.4 = 87.1982mm. (87.2mm)

Well didn't say they were stock I was just putting specs on them up.. so if I were to bore the engine out a little they would fit?

My original point was that it's difficult to get the compression up that high with a stock bore. If you sleeve the motor and go 85mm, you can definitely get the compression up there. I am running an 85mm GSR engine in my Civic right now as a matter of fact, and compression is in the neighborhood of 14:1. I can vouch for this setup You can't bore a stock block to 85mm BTW.

Pump gas on 14:1 comp. Even if you got it to run without detonation u would have to run the motor so rich it would defeat the purpose and lose power. If you want to drive the car alot. Buy a 55 gallon drum of vp or about 4 headgaskets. But thats just me

I use 100 octane on the track. I drive it on the street on 91, but very mildly, no WOT.

I see so it would be safer to just go with like 12:1 ?

12-12.5:1 will be fine on 93 octane, properly tuned.

Alright thanks.

How about valve springs, retainers and valves? Should I use Skunk 2 for them as well?

And should I still go with Stage 3's ? How would the idle be with them?

Skunk 3's idle like stock. Personally, I like Toda valve springs and stock ITR valves. Any good Titanium retainer is fine-Skunk, Portflow, etc.
