you might see 170-180....
This is want i had to get 165 WHP @8550 rpm
B16A1 (stock bottem end)
S1 Short tranny
Short Ram Air
68mm TB
Skunk2 Intake
Hondata Intake Gasket (air intake temp is cooler with it)
Crower Dual Springs, Ti Retainers
Crower Stage 2A cams (Stock low lobes, stage 2 vtec lobes)
4-1 Headers with 2.5 collector
Straight exhaust
Cam gears
MSD Coil Only with crappy wires
less then 1 lb Crank Pulley (under sized)
over sized ame alert pulley
(makes now power from 0 to 1600 rpm.. battery will die if it idles longer then 20 mins)
also un tuned...
Vtec at 5700, rev limit at 9000
FPR at 50 psi
walbro 255 pump

thats some pretty good mods i say you ll def hit 185-190whp probably around 8800-9000rpm and probably like 117-122lbs at around 8500.
but the main thing is to go to a good tunner cause with someone that has little exp.
you can see around 170whp.

thanks all for the info. why would the 70mm throttle body be big, i hear they are great for all motor. also i forgot to say that i have a ctr single crank pulley and a hondata intake manifold gasket.
but you guys are the pros here, so keep them coming and tell me what needs to be changed and upgraded or taken out. thanks alot
happy new year to all

that really sucks, if thats all i am gonna see is 170hp to 185hp. i put so much money in this setup. o'well, like you all said, its all about tunning.
whats up crxsirvtec, you mean to tell me all those mods and thats all your car put out 165hp. there most be something wrong, but i wouldent know.
did you ever run your car down the track, if so. what time did you hit. thanks alot

Who did the headwork?
I agree 70mm tb is probably too big for a b16. You would probably be better off with a itr tb.
With good tuning you should be close to your goal.

head work was done by a freind of mine, he also did my skunk2 intake manifold, he ported it to match the 70mm throttle body. the work on the head is great, hes been working on honda heads for years. wish i had pics to show them.
not quite 200whp but at least you'll run 12's i ran 12's almost 4 years ago with less than what you have...
if my car ran 12's, i would be the happest person in the world. even if it runs 13's i am happy, but like they say, its all about the driver and skills

GREAT NUMBERS!
I have a question, is the power that you post after tunning or not, the way it is wrote sounds like with out, but I'm confused.
Those are good numbers!
I love seeing b16's making some good numbers!
I just dyno'd my on tuesday. The results;
164 whp
B16A2(US Spec)
Skunk2 cam gears
Skunk2 Stage 1 cams( which have not been dialed in yet)
Skunk2 Valve springs
Vafc, very mildly tweaked
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
DC Sports 4-1 header SS(non-jdm)
AEM Cold Air
FPR @ 45 psi
Superchip ECU (x-over @ 5200 red line 8200) thanks to eg6ajk!
Stock bottom end
That really makes my feel good to see people making more power then I have seen with a B16! Good job guys.
What are you torque numbers looking like?

thats at the wheels, dont forget that these motors only make about 135ish hp at the wheels stock. so jumping another 40hp, or 50 hp at the wheels is a HUGE difference for all motor.
good luck, and cheers

ya your rite cleensi. my goal was 200whp, but lets hope and see what happens when the car gets tunned.
what do you think about my plan for 200whp. . . from my earlier post;
i just found out about a leaky head gasket in my 93 hatch with a B16A2 swap and i will be pulling the motor soon and will be replacing it myself, with the help of experienced friends. my plan is to save a ****-load until summer for:
-pistons and rods to create 11.5:1 compression,
-skunk2 intake manifold, throttle body to match,
-the S200 hondata unit,
-injectors (not sure which size but maybe 350cc),
-fuel pump,
-fuel pressure regulator,
-cams (thinking skunk2 but not sure),
-springs and retainers,
-some sort of ignition system.
Im friends with a kid who is good friends with the owner of "Oh So Fast Racing" and they will port and polish my head and maybe bore out my block .1 to .19. this is my current plan for an all-motor set up to hopefully reach at least 200whp. . . any suggestions to add, or subtract, to this?
i might be looking into a kaaz LSD. i've heard that LSD doesnt improve your launch so much but mainly in handling corners. . . is that true?
i now know tuning is HUGE so i plan on investing more into the hondata S200 unit and dyno time and lowering the LSD priority, i'll still get it if many responses say so and, of course, if i have the money
