Default Has anybody disabled the balance shafts on the new K series? Dyno's improvments?

i'm certain hitech did this, to acheive his numbers as some Topdogs.. i'm curious on the design and how it's encorporated.

since i haven't taken appart my motor yet seems that one shaft is turned via another from a gear, and the other is turned from either the crankshaft directly via a gear also.. ? the second can't be shown, but must be in the oilpump housing...?

looks like a belt near the crankshaft ?

curious never theless

SOMEBODY MUST HAVE ANSWERS!

just install the A2 oil pump, you'll see small gains

a2 pump? (type-s you mean)

what so special about an a2 pump compared to an a3 pump or even the k24 oilpump ?

all these motors have balance shafts, but what difference does the oilpump make in the application

Hmmm, I thought I read that the A3 was "balanced" and the A2 was "counter-weighted", but I never really payed much attention to the details of it.

Jack, Im guessing the A2 oil pump has extra capacity and a extra cooling, right?
Would this bolt onto an A3, and would there be any real gains?

no, only the EP A3 has the balance shafts (they are located within the oil pump)

the RSX A3 and Hype S A2 do not have these
