Hello... The automatic shift lever has come out of my 2000 Accord and I can't figure out how to put it back on - can't get it to the level so that I can screw on the two screws to the rod. The assembly works fine even though I can't get is low enough to put on the screws.

put the spring the leather handle, press the silver part with you thumb, slip it in the "stick" and tight the screws.

the silver part need to be compressed.
