wtt: 99 si for 98 itr
Well I have been researching both cars and they are pretty close in price as far as Edmunds and KBB.com goes. My car has a brad new 00 itr shortblock from Acura and a full itr valvetrain that went in when the head was remachined. Basically the car can either be traded with all of the stock components on it or with the components I have on it. The aftermarket parts don't really add much to the price, infact they aren't even entered into the equation when kbb or edmunds calculate the worth of the cars. So if anyone is thinking about getting a 99 si PM me. chassis has 80k on it. Transmission has 30k on it. Motor has 1200 miles on it since the brand new 00 itr shortblock was installed. Brand new Exedy clutch also installed when motor was done. I have reciepts for pretty much everything that has gone into this car and I am the original owner. (My sig is a joke btw)
Why do I want to do this? Because I am sick of the whole modding thing. I have wanted a type r and have had fun with this car but since graduating from college I feel it is time to move on.

You should have mentioned your Si has an ITR short block and that your in CA. Personally I don't think one ITR owner would even consider trading for your car. It would be totally pointless to downgrade. Just my $.02

you should offer cash and the Si if you want a real itr...

Well considering I have researhed them and they are pretty comparible price wise I don't see me needing to offer cash. This is just a simple way of me getting an itr without selling my car and buying one. If an itr owner happend to want an si we could maybe trade. I realize it is a long shot and I will probably end up selling my car and buying an itr but I can always try can't I?
that would probably be your best bet. The problem is that cars like ITR's are hard to price based on "book" values because they are semi-rare and sought-after. You may be able to find someone with an earlier ITR swapped teg (94-96) who might be interested, but I highly doubt anyone who sought out to get an ITR in the first place would be interested in trading down vehicles without some cash on top of the deal.
