For all the EURO SPEC R
How did some of you import the Euro Spec R? If you were importing a Euro Spec, why not just import a J-Spec? Is it much easier?
I am not going to import one, but I am just very curious, because I have also seen people importing the Euro Spec M3 and was wondering how they did that too.
thanks,

Eurospec e36 M3s came to North America. I dunno about the states numbers deal but on the two canadian models that i saw, that both showed that there were 45 cars in total (maybe in Canada or all of North America).

Norway is in the house as well.
But why would you have the euro R, it has 5 hp less than the usdm?
Different injectors, ecu and header compared to the jdm, but 11.1 compression and factory 0-62 mph figures of 6.7.

Since we have the topic of the euro R in focus, I would like to find out what the real differences are between the jdm, usdn and euro. So far there has been a lot of discussion between the jdm and the usdm. Did the euro R get ripped of some of the good stuff as well? As I posted above, a mecanic who races the euro R here in Norway, told me about the injectors, ecu and header, don't know if it's true.
lol, that's right! hehehhe

From this site... http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/D...UKITRmain.html
"U.K. and Euro-spec. cars use the B18C6 version of the 1797cc engine:
Compression ratio = 11.1:1
Max power = 190PS @ 7900rpm
Max torque = 178Nm @ 7300rpm
Unleaded petrol 95 octane or higher (98 octane available at some petrol stations.)
US-spec motors are designated as the B18C5, and the Australians use a B18C7 on their ITRs. JDM 98specRs simply have "B18C" as the motor designation.
190ps ~= 195hp ?
But the USDM c/r is 10.6:1
"While the UK car shares the 4-2-1 exhaust manifold configuration with the USDM cars, the UK market car employs a fabricated 4-2 upper exhaust manifold. Perhaps this is the same upper manifold as the JDM 96specR, which also employed a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold(header).
ownstream of that, the UK/Euro market ITR shares the same fabricated 2-1 downpipes, cat & usual ITR exhaust system / muffler as the US models. The JDM Cat is shorter in length and wider in diameter than the UK/US/Euro catalytic converter."

The differences what I can think of are: Seats, compression, cat, armrest, bumper (inside), rims, tail lights, clear corners, rear foglights..... http://www.dynocenter.com has an article about it.

True, my manual says 98 only!
Maybe that's why the Great Britains right hand drives are rated at 187 bhp?
Also, that dynocenter link did not work. Redirected me to an empty page.
