Default JDM type r cat?? i need help ASAP peeps!!

ive posted about this before but i need help ASAP!!

k i got 96 civic couope w/ c5 motor, i just bought a jdm dc header and civic apexi world sport cat-back. Now ive been lookin for someone to make me a custom 2.5in cat to hook up to everything but no luck, so i was wondering if the jdm type r header would fit in. i know it would hook up to the header and pretty sure it would hook up to the exhaust but i dunno if it the right length, im thinking it would need to be about a 13inche cat (not positiive) so let me know guys!!!!!!

I think you might be looking for carsound cat 94066/93506 (oval) or 53006 (round). I don't remember the exact length but they fit on JDM 4-1 headers matched with most b-pipes.

Contact SMSP on this board or Mike from IPS Racing for a bolt up cat. I wish i would have went this route when i bought mine.

JDM cat is about 12 inches (11.81 i think)...which is much shorter than the US length cat.

Take a look at the T1R Race Cat (Really just a cat by-pass) it is 2.5" and bolts right up to the JDM Spec DC header. Check out http://www.aj-racing.com/typeo...6.htm This is where I bought mine from.
EDIT: It bolted up perfectly on my ITR with DC JDM header, and T1R mid-pipe/N1 Muffler.

you need a udsm sized cat (17") to mate the jdm 4-1 to a usdm length exhaust (apexi worldsport). the cat needs a 2.5 flared tip to fit the collector. i got mine from mike at ips

you have an obd2 car, if you stayed obd2 with the swap then you will need an o2 bung welded into the cat as well. if you converted to obd1 then you dont have to worry about it.

If you get a carsound then it will solve your problem. You won't need to make any additional modifications. Mike M at IPS Racing has the cat you need to bolt it right up.

i dont see why you would need a jdm length cat.

i have the jdm 4-1header and im using a 17", is the apexi worldsport a jdm length exhaust?
