Default Pulling metal chunks from tranny (5 pics)

Differential went bust, unfortunately the diff is at a friends house so no pics, but I got bored so here are some pics

Heres some chunks I got out of my B16 tranny

You should place some sort of support on the engine while while the other mount is off. But for doing it yourself. Wish I had the tools, and friends to help me out.

In pic #3 the roller bearing that appears to be for the mainshaft looks to be seriously off center. Is it OK? Did the diff case blow up or the gears? While you have it apart, you may want to check out the synchronisers and make sure they are all in good shape. Hose down the case and all the parts you keep really well to make sure all the little bits are cleaned out. Hate to have a repeat performance.

LOLOL it looks bad in the pic but its really just a washer thats sitting on the bearing that isnt sitting perfectly. Synchros all look good, im surprised because I hear a lot about bad synchros in B16 trannys.

Yes im going to do my best cleaning it out, hence the carb cleaner in some of the pics. **** no i dont want to do a repeat performance.
