my mid range is a lot better but when vtec kicks in i dont feel any pulling from the car, maybe coz i have winter tires or that's how it is ?

Well, theres your improvement, in the mid range.
The winter tires can affect it too... Mine are prone to break lose in VTEC a bit unless the road is completley dry and theres no humidity.

The Icebox provides a little more power everywhere. The reason it doesn't feel as fast on the larger cam is that it lacks the AEM's "power spike," but builds power steadily as it goes.
AEM dips in power around 4K, if I remember correctly...it's been a while since the intake wars died down. Then it spikes when VTEC kicks in, and produces peaky hp.

The Comptech one.
It does seal better around the Icebox because of it's airhorn attachment compared to the K&N drop in*.
* Unless you hacked up your stock filter to use a universal K&N. It might be the same at that point.

Comptech is a solid package design. Work on the other areas of the vehicle (namely, header) to help the motor to breath and free up horsepower.

Has anyone seen a dyno sheet of back to back runs just swapping filters from k&n to comptech?
