If you want a remote start, then go with the Clifford Intelliguard alarm, and Intellistart 4. The alarms you can use are the 6000,7000, and 8000. They have all the features you are looking for. The 8000 has a proximity/tilt sensor that's pretty awesome. You can adjust the sensitivity through the remote.
The Intellistart 4 is the only alarm that is made to be used with a manual tranny. You can use other RS's, but they can be started with the car in gear, and that means it'll roll until it stops cranking, which is about 6 seconds later. The Intellistart is just an add-on module for the Clifford G4 alarms. They have to be programmed with a computer. So I would recommend a dealer do it. I've had several of these on different cars and loved them all.

get lojack if your keeping your car till death. if not...
stick with dei/clifford intelliguard 750 and above. hidden kill switches, hoodlock, and a boot to deter your car from getting towed...
i know the topic of compustar vs. clifford has been covered many times. both r good alarms ive concluded... clifford having da blackjax as a advantage =D and compustar da long range due to speed spectrum.. so basically... does it come down to the installation?

doesnt really matter, you dont need to find the brain to disable the alarm. why?? because the brains are all hooked up the same way. only requiring four wires. if you follow the main wires from the ignition you will find where the four wires are spliced into the main wire harness.
thats why it really depends on where and how you cover those wires. << hence mine is covered in metal....
