pioneer head unit no longer plays cds...am i screwed?

pioneer head unit no longer plays cds...am i screwed?
my old pioneer deh-2400 headunit no longer plays cds after a night at the track. When I put in a cd it doesn't read..and my head unit displays error-11 on the screen. Is there anything I can try to fix this or do I have to buy a new head unit?
