Need Opinion and Info on '04 TL
It's between a G35 4dr or the New TL.
I can't get the 6 speed, because it's more than just me driving it.
Also, I'm not going to get the Navigation.
With that said, is the TL the hands down winner up against the G35 in all areas?
How much did you '04 TL owners pay for your car?
Thanks!

that's a tough one.
they're both great cars.
i prefer the styling of the TL (interior and exterior) over the G35... which is why i own a TL. hondas also tend to have better build quality, but nissan seems to have improved that in recent years.
there's also the front drive / rear drive thing. i was all jazzed about the IS300 being rwd when i first bought it... but ended up being completely useless (as in.. i never found a time where i said "i'm sure glad this car is rwd")
also... if you're one of those people that don't like to have "the old model," think about this... the G35 is already a few years old while the TL is a new design. the G35 will only be "the new model" for another couple years.

AWD since when?
None of the G35's are AWD, they are RWD only.
I would take a new TL over a G35 anyday though.
Acura service/quality > infinity service/quality.
Just see if you can get the 4 piston calipers (come in the high performance package)

Wrong, G35 Sedan recently came out with a AWD option on a A/T only.

same system as the gt-R? i've read its more like the cr-v real time. which isn't that advanced.. but if its the attesa.. then its pretty advanced.
anyways... when it comes down to it. Its really personal preference. keep in mind, its tl's first year out.. and first year models still have "kinks" that need to be worked out.
i wouldn't say its hands down the bette car.. but the new tl is a BIG contender in that car market. U being in LA, i know the Tl takes premium.. and i think LA higest octane is like 91? That engine will eat that! Over east coast we get 93 octane.. and my prelude still eats that! not too sure if the g35 takes premium.
ur not getting the navigation?
its the BEST part! honda's have one of the best navi' systems. an up for the TL, new dvd audio, dbw, ivtec
MSRP is 32-33g's
are you in the market for any other cars? because if anything, look for a used s4. great price for the car.

you think the G35's first year for having the AWD system wont have kinks?
anyway, premium gas is 91-93 octane, 91 works fine in most nearly all cases. unless you are running a VERY high compression, you really do not need it all that much.
btw, the new TL does not have ivtech, only the 4 cylinders can be equipped with that, at least at this point. http://www.acura.com/models/mo...le=tl
see, 24 valve VTEC engine. I-VTEC has two cam lobes, so it essentially has two stages of vtec, one at ~4k or so, and the 2nd at ~6k or something.

my parents are buying a TL, we went and test drove one today, and they are awesome.
comfortable, fast, handle wonderfully, and are very stable.
the G35 sedans just look wierd in my opinion, they should have stuck to a G35 coupe only, and left the sport sedan to a different model, i hate the look of the sedan.
TLs are flawless in my opinion....
and, for the same amount of options, and a less powerful engine, you have to pay more, and the service/support of infiniti is nowhere near that of honda/acura.
