Default PM6 in an A/T CRX? Would it blow up?

I'm in the middle of doing three or four things at once and I just want to check and see if the DPFI-MPFI is wired correctly and working before I go onto the next step. I don't want to have to buy a PM7 just to check the wiring, and then throw or give it away.
So, can I check to see if MPFI is working corrrectly by starting an AT CRX with a PM6 hooked up?
Has anyone ever done it? What will happen? Will it blow up or even START without the two pins for the AT in the ECU?
