Should I cut my brake rotors after installing carbon kevlar "Porterfield R4S" brake pads? My rotors need to be cut on a brake lathe to get rid of shallow grooves. I have heard that carbon kevlar brake pads do not work right after cutting your rotors on a brake lathe. Is this true? Anyone have experience with this?

I would have them surfaced. If you have groves and stuff in there, it will take longer for the pads to get broken in.
