LSD Question
Well, I searched for a little bit, but I couldn't get a real description of what is different from a LSD transmission to any other trans, can anyone explain this to me or point me to an answer?
me if I missed one while searching

yeah, there should be some posts on this, make sure you click "archived" when you search
anyways, if the tranny does not have a LSD it usually is an open differential, meaning that there is very little trying to send power to both wheels. (hope that helps you out, not sure what you are looking for)

what a limited slip differential does, is send power to the wheel with the most traction as opposed to the other wheel.
in an open diff car, in limited traction environments, the diff sends power to the wheel with the least traction because that's the path of least resistance. as you're cornering then, the inside drive wheel which is not bearing most of the weight will get the power from the engine and spin. what an LSD does is reverse that so that the outside wheel in the same corner gets more of the traction.
it depends on what kind of LSD unit u have. there are gear types, like the quaife, ITR LSD; and there are clutch types, like the Kaaz or the nissan OEM LSDs for the silvia.
then there's the phantom grip which is a p.o.s.
