WE had talked to NHRA a while ago about building a cage in a Del Sol and we had to pass the rear bars through the rear window to get certification. There is a guy here Delsohnracing i think is his name he could elaborate on this some more.

Quick Sol hows it going? To answer that question about the bars going through the rear window. Yes they need to if you want it legal. There is specs on roll cages as far as angles go, and to make it right you need to go through. I dont personally have the book with specs, but you can obtain one through NHRA.

Also delsohnracing, do you have a pic on what it looks like in the trunk?

sorry, no pic at this time of inside the trunk. the two bars go into a cross brace that has the wheelie bar and shoot mounts. If I get a pic I will post it.

Do you guys just cut a U in the glass so it can still roll down? or is it not useable anymore?

you can still run 10's, just not a NHRA event, etc...my friends supra runs constant 10's @ the local track with no roll bar lol...does it make it not a 10 sec car?
