Default clutch probs

hey guys, ok prolly a stupid question but i gotta ask. Sometimes when i drive the clutch feels kinda loose. and other times it feels nice and stif. usually it becomes stiff after i rev if up and comes down from high speeds then its nice and tite. This has been the situation ever since i have had this car. it has a sohc zc with zc tranny i believe. havent taken a look. but it has a fairly new clutch kit installed. any help would be useful thanks.
