Default H-T frind needs some help, Type-R-337 needs a header!!!!

Okay everyone here is the deal.
I am in the need of a header. This is going to be a long story. I found my ITR on this site. I bought it this summer in Washington DC. When I bought i thought it was a really good deal, which it was. All exepect for the engine burning some oil, but that is something normal for an ITR with high mile. The engine had a JDM DC 4-1 header ceramic coated. Right after the purchase of the car, i took it to the nearest place that changed oil. I have to drive 12 hrs straight back to kentucky where I live, so i thought it was a good idea.

When I arrived to "sears" which was the only place I could find, i was curious to see what the undercarige of the new R I bought looked like. Well i was in for a bigg surprise, the header was pinched really bad. The car sat to low and with every bump in the road the header scrapped, as you can imagine.

Once I arrived to my home town one of the first things I did was to talk to my mechanic about the header, he said I should get one asap. Well i was a dumbass, by thinking I could wait on it for a while until i got more funds to invest in that new header. IT WAS A REALLY BIG MISTAKE!!!!.

After driving the car for about 2 months. the engine finally went out. I was driving on the interstate and the engine sounded all of a sudden that it was running on 3 cylinders. Well i came to find out it was infact running on three cylinders after that point, this is what happened

Exhaust Outlet #4 on the header was completly restriced from the pintch on it. To much heat was being created in that cylider due to lack of exhaust flow. The heat made the valves tweak and not sit right, the bad sitting valves cause wear and rear on the valves them selves. Utimaltly, the valve began to fall apart while I was on the interstate at that same moment I hit the throttle and tryied to hit v-tech and that is when the car started to act like it was running on three cylinders.

Well here is the thing, if any of you guys saw my post for "what r u getting for christmas" you've seen all the **** i bought. I need to know what kind of header I should run> i need something that is cheap and not $900. I am oppen for suggestions. I would like to run anoter 4-1 but I sold the one i have because My friend that has the same one, his header is starting to have some dents on it too. So I am affraid to run another header that hangs too low. What do you guys suggest!!!!!!!I NEED SOME HELP, what the hell sould I do...thanks everyone

Have you thought about the JDM honda header for the ITR? Also, have you checked your head? It sounds as if you could have done more damage to the head than just the valves. Check the #4 piston and rod too. You never know.

DC JDM 4-1 and JDM ITR 4-1 and the cheapest, best bang for the buck headers.

Just like what dude above me said. Just go for the JDM ITR headers. Don't know what suspension you may have one the itr but I'd suggest going back to stock suspension or at least raise it so you dont run into the same problem again.

Yeah, thanks for the tip, I already diassembled the entire engine. The head looked fine exept for the valve seat, was dammage on the valve the gave out. My whole bottom end is in good condition. Well, the entire motor is being rebult any way, head, blottome end tranny and all. I just want to see what type of header will prevent me form haveing the same problem all over again,

If your car is THAT low, then go with a 4-2-1 header for the clearance.
