Type-S swap issues in premium with ecu and immobilizer.
I have a New premium and installing a 6 speed computer and custom motor.. but here is the deal..
the ecu looks for the immobilizer and the key and the immobilizer unit must match, and also the ecu must match..
so what happens if you put a 6 speed ecu with a 5speed factory key and imobilizer unit on the steering column ?
will the car start or i need to replace all with the RSX-S and also change all my keylocks and in the trunk to get this to work ?
as i know many of us don't want to talk about this subject i would GREATLY appreciate a pm to me directly to discuss this...
if you need further proof i will offer my VIN number.
looking for an honest answer no BS please.

Yes, it does. You will need a 6 speed ECU to control the reverse lockout solenoid on the 6 speed trans.
