4.7 fd into 5th gear b16tranny at 1/4

4.7 fd into 5th gear b16tranny at 1/4
still debating on a final drive for the future....i've seen 4.7's pull better et's the 4.9's. but i plan on putting in a ls 5th gear and was wondering if i used a 4.7 final drive in a b16...would i have to shift into 5th at a 1/4 track?

you probably won't but it all depends on horsepower, tire size, maximum rpm, etc....
I'm planning on using a 4.76FD, crossing the traps at 8500rpm on 24.5" slicks at around 117mph!
If not perhaps 23*8*13 slicks with the 4.76, 9000-9500

USDM itr tranny, JDM Final Drive, BFG 205-50/15's and I'm around 8,300rpm in 4th gear at the line while pulling a ~13.7-13.8.

what's your best et? what size tires/rim? what's the car weight?
i'm thinking of doing the 4.78 thing, but i might need more rpms out of my crvtec
