Default trouble, please help if u can

Ok here it is with this damn car , I start my car and it Idling between 0 and 1RPM it feels like its going to stall out. Its a 90 Accord EX. When i hit the gas in the car,, it takes a couple of seconds for the car to register that im hitting hte gas, im thinking it can be something with the fuel pumps or maybe even water in the gas. Please respond to this.

I woukd appreciate your guys help
Thanks

Well, with that description, it could be a lot of things. First, I assume you meant running between 0 and 1K RPM...

Since it's running at all, you can eliminate some things. From what you've said, it sounds like it could be related to the EFI system, but that's not definite.

When you hit the gas, does the engine spin up and run pretty smoothly (after those couple of seconds)? Or does it choke and die? Or does it spin up, but sputter and gag?

When is the last time you tuned it up? (plugs, filters, PCV valve, etc.)

Since it spins up and doesn't stall, I'd say it's not your fuel pump or filter (it would stall out or run really bad if they were weak/clogged).

Check your plugs, distributor, rotor, and wires.

it is probably something to do with your ignition system. mine did that but it ended up being my ac system. but you don't use your ac so it couldn't be that.
