50K Sheduled Maintenance
My car just hit the 50k mark and the maintenance light is flashing. I was just wondering how much it would cost to go to a dealer or im thinking maybe its better if I did it myself. Not exacly sure what to check for/ replace on the 50k mark. I'll probably pick up a helms manual or something. But what exacly needs to be check/replaced? Thanks
In the back of you r manual it should have a complete maintenece schedule up to like 100k I think. Just make sure you get all that done. There is a post on here somewhere about resetting the light yourself.

Your car should have an owner's manual. If you don't have one, you can get one here. This is in addition to the service manual, which you only need if you work on your car yourself.
The owner's manual tells you everything you need to know, in addition to the schedule for maintenance. Important stuff like:
1. There is no such thing as a 50K mile scheduled maintenance.
2. The MAINT light goes on 7500 miles after it has been reset, to indicate that you need an oil change, not a major service.
3. How to turn it off by pressing the button under the dash, here:
