Or the ws exhaust, if you are looking for something very quiet. Remember if you boost, the pipes are better to go with a 2.75 - 3" diameter.

I have also heard the Dc is bad for the prelude... Is this true? Also how is the Apexi n1? That is the exhaust i am most likely leaning towards getting.

DC Sports is not bad for your car.

Also, you know the typical loud ricey exhausts that are the stereotype for ricer cars....that would be the N1.

I say go for a Thermal. I have one and I LOVE it! I have NEVER heard anyone complain about it.

All i can say is that if you KNOW what you want your car to do, then anything can make it work, as long as it is rigthly applied.

You wouldn't want a: "right theory, wrong application..."

Hope that helps, by the way, i got a dc cc headers plus the apexi ws for sale.

I didn't realize the N1 was so loud, and ricey. I thought it was aimed at performance over the noise output......

It is loud, but not that raspy, especially with the silencer. It also has better flow than a thermal because the muffler isn't baffled (hence the louder sound). If you want a good exhaust contact *KTeller8* he custom builds exhaust to any diameter that you want. If you want a high flow cat he's also the mat to see since he will get you a good price and sent everything together, with the flanges in place. Give him a try.

DC sports CC header gives you some mid range/top end.

the only thing i don't like is the quality. i had mines for 3 years and it has oxidation/rust. also the flanges are known to crack making rattling sounds at certain rpm.

i got a picture, i'll post it later.

either get DC sports SS or Greddy. IMO, get greddy... i heard nothing but good things about it.

Yep. There is a reason why so many people sell their N1's off. You RARELY see Thermals for sale used.

I bet the N1 has better gains though.

Greddy EVO exhaust I got mine in the classifieds for 200 + stock exhaust.

I would go with the greddy header, although it requires slight modification it will give better gains than the DC.

hold on a sec. Does Greddy even make a header for a 5th gen? I thought no. If so, whats the diameter of the collector?

And regrding the DC, aren't their primaries the same diameter as the B series? not good for an extra 400cc engine I assume

I think the diameter for the greddy collector is either 2.25 or 2.36 but def. not 2.5.

Yup, Greddy only makes headers for 4th Gen Preludes

even though the GReddy header is made for the 4th gen Preludes doesn't mean you can't use it on your 5th gen, afterall it is still going to be for an H22A. you will only need to modify it so it can bolt up to your exhaust properly. and if you want power from an exhaust get the Apex N1.

also remember to get either a high-flow cat or test pipe to get the best power from your header and exhaust system.

thats interesting. If all you need is an extention it might be worth the money. But will it fit through the front crossmember and align with the cat?

There is no such thing. You can get a Greddy/DC for a few hundred, or you can spend ~1k for an SMSP, Mugen, or Hytech
