How much tranny fluid ?
i am gonna go buy some Gm tranny fluid tomm and need to know how many quarts to buy. I have heard that ill need less then to and have also heard that ill need 2.5. Some please help me out thanks,

Read the manual... says 2.25 qts. Just take out the VSS, pour in 2 bottles and a 1/4 of another, put the VSS back on and you're done.
3 qts is too much, and would pour out of the filler hole underneath the tranny if you popped if off.

Get at least 3, 4 if you want to have some to fill with if it ever gets low. You'll NEED about 2.5 qts to fill. I changed my tranny fluid recently and with the awkward placement of the filler hole - feeding a tube into it is a pain in the ***. hard not to spill some so in my case I ended up using 3 after the damn tube came out a couple times.
take out the VSS, and the "fill" plug... pour tranny fluid in till it drips out of the fill hole... plug up the fill and pour just a little more in (maybe 1/8th of a quart at most) and call it done... should take around 2.5qts little more or less depending on tranny
