im sorry but im new to this car i dont know anything about the type r except that it makes more horsepower but what is the real reason its better than the rest of the integras how fast does it run the qaurter mile in? how much do they weigh?.. what are the torque #'s on it how close are the gear ratios?.. also i heard that they are like limited production like how many wre realeased each year. I am really interested in learning abou thtis car because my brother is trying to buy one soon and i have a friend who has one (i dont know what number i have to look at the arm rest) but i dont know anything bout it all i know is that its really fast and im trying to see why so thanks for the help.
you prolly won't get much info from this board, so doing a search is good. i'll be nice though and give you a head start, i guess. stock itr's are rated at 195hp/130tq. as far as 1/4 mile times go, it honestly varies from location to driver's ability as all cars are. i've seen mid 14's to 16's here, but you can only judge by how other cars are doin on the same track to determine what is "fast." i'm not entirely how many were release each year of production, but it was limited. i think the final 2 years were 2000 each? if your brother is buying, please make sure he is a good driver and has a safe place to keep the car (garage). there not too many left, and he should be as lucky to have as to keep it! anywho... the car is as fast you can spend, its as beautiful as you want, just make it your own and be happy. no go on grasshopper... search is your buddy.

Those are the most newbiest questions I have seen in a long long time
Newbiest, is that even a word- or did I just make that up???
anyway, for your answers there is a lot of info out on the R and most of it is available thru H-T, Just use the search feature and go Some of the info might be old so use the archives too.

ITR`s are performance cars built for road-racing, not for the straight. You can find them in the racing series up to 2,0l and ralleycross. You can do any races where fast cornering and fine handling decide if you are fast or not.
If you run an ITR on the straight, it`s like you are forcing a good swimmer to run the 10.000meters.. Maybe is doing fair well (because he is sporty), but he is not a specialist for that...

Farts don't smell, they have odors (usually foul)
Note: the word smell, although often used incorrectly in contemporary English, is a verb not a noun . Example: to smell a flower. A flower has an odor or a scent not the ability to smell .

Don't listen to all these hype-r owners. They are slow as ****. Anyone who thinks a car that does the quarter mile in 14.5 seconds is "fast" is smoking a very large crackpipe.
