I have an alpine headunit, and I heard somewhere that it is possible to change the illumination.. If this is so can anyone please help me as to how to do this, and what models is this capable in doing so... Thanks a lot

What model do you have? I had a 7893 that had switchable illumination from green to amber. The thing ended up breaking and was lighting up half green, half amber. I could do without it though. One less thing to go wrong with it.

But like Peter said, check out the website and you'll find out which ones are switchable.

 

gotta hold the setup button for a few seconds and its an option on the menu. not all of them have it. my 7995 doesn't
