I cannot speak from experience, so dont take this for gospel, but I can see a couple of reasons that may make it seem like that

1. yours could have been worn
2. STR's part are race-bred, so its likely gonna be fairly extreme

Check your cable. I thought it was my str tb that caused my sticking but it was the cable.

Well.. when I had my car...

It would stick on cold days, and i adjusted my cable ALL the way out.. it didn't really fix the problem.

I figured mine had a gsr throttle rotor instead of a b16/pr3 throttle rotor. Correct me if i'm wrong but, don't they make different rotors for each application.

The return spring is alot stiffer on it so yes when you press the gas it requires alot more effort. They do this to keep it from sticking..... go figure. My Ericks requires more pressure than stock as well. Thats my only gripe about it.

With the str tb, my gas pedal is almost stiff as my clutch.

I don't know about you guys, but I personally perfer a stiffer throttle, feels like Im somehow "helping" the engine's effort when I dip into full throttle...LOL maybe Im just weird
