Trying to decide between the two...If anyone has any input it'd help alot? whats has more potential...It's goin into a 95 Gsr. My goals are mid-high 13's, in my DAILY driver. Reliablity is also a big factor.

also if anyone has any more specific info on the hybird b18c/a please gimme some knowledge I tried search and only 2 threads came up..

For the price of a head swap and what your Geeezer is worth you could buy a ITR motor.

well if you just swap the head i think you'll be wasting money cause with the gsr head you have more compression, the only thing i find better with the b16 head is that it flows better, but for just a baby motor that you want to do, just leave the gsr head on,put some cams in it,a intake maniflod and maybe a tb and good headers and the normal fuel bull **** and you should run mid 13s well it also depends on if its a us gsr motor or a jdm motor cause the jdm motor has the compression of a us type r, and it depends on what car its going into, but yea just leave the gsr head on there and go with the semi built gsr motor, it will be better, i think most people would agree with me

Mid 13s in a GSR is with a 4.9FD, 15" Advans tires, at least 200hp and completely gutted out car and 100 more items to do.

Somewhere around $5,000-$7,000

I know cause there are a handful in this area.

Im not so sure that the b16 head flows better, i think its a common misconception.

save yourself the money build your gsr instead of swapping the head (if you did it would have been wise to swap the pistons because of the compression drop). i'm running a b16head on a gsr block only because i had a option of that going into my hatch. the b16head does flow a tad better...but not if it is going to cost you grip.

If you already have a full GSR, keep it. Buy a Skunk2 manifold, raise the compression, get some good cams and some good bolt ons (Good header, 2.5" exhaust) and lots of tuning. Weight reduction is also important.

umm to the guy who said to run 13s you have to make at least 200hp and said its gonna cost that much you are trippin, cause i rana 13.107 with a full interior hatch, and the only thing that was done is some baby slicks, ice man ram air,ctr cams,a type r header, and clutch with a type r tranny with a 4.7 fd, with a 4.9 on falkins, dont you think that would cause for it to spin more which will then cause you to run slower, and then i ran a 13.5 on falkins.so for him, it will cost more cause the us block kinda kills the power, but i can make that car run 12's for the price you are talking about
