Default ZC motor with OEM CRX hood

I've heard that the ZC motor has that cam plastic housing around it, that can pose a problem when you try to close your hood. Is there a way around this? Other than buying the ZC hood? Can't you just remove the plastic housing (revealing your cams)? And if you do this, is it safe? Thanks for any input!

well you can just take the timing cover off but you run the risk of gettign stuff to fall in that crevace that is no longer protected. and believe me stuff does get down there, i learned theis after a new timign belt. i had a small rock fall in mine and throw my timing off. so you have 2 options take the cover off and run that risk, or just leave it on. the motor really doesnt rub on the hood that bad, it should be fine.

hmmm....the motor should clear the hood just fine... you should remove that inner piece of the hood if you want to be on the safe side.

Well, I'm not going to make a post for this...but when I get the B20 block under my B16 head, what should I do about a hood? My hood already touches the B16 head in a small spot. Is there an SiR-style bulged CF hood or fiberglass hood that fits the usdm headlights (or my ef7 headlights)?

My ZC motor clears the hood. If it hits a little, just put some washers in between on the driver's side engine mount.
