Default big bore Throttle body

so i bought a 70mm big bore tb for my lude and i noticed that it came w/ the map sensor mounted but no tps..i was debating whether i could bypass the stock map sensor on the firewall and plug the map sensor harness to the mount on the tb..will this work if i extend the harness? if i do this what do i do w/ all the extra vacuum lines? plug them? also do i need to go and get a tps senor and mount it on the tb? thanks

i wouldn't wire up that map sensor until your sure it is a 2 bar map sensor like the oem hondas, becasue if it is a 3 bar, it could cause you to run very rich or very lean. as far as the TPS if your old one will bolt up then i would use that

contact the manufacturer of the TB, or if there are any serial numbers on the map sensor, type them in google and see what pops up, do you have the old TB TPS and MAP?

yeah i cant seem to get the old tps off to put on my 70mm, theres no heads on the screws....also i got a new map on my 70mm and the stock h22 tb doesnt have a map mounted on it, its on the firewall..so i was going to extend the oem harness and connect it to my new map....

take a dremel and cut slots into the top of the "screws with no heads" holding the tps on. then you can unscrew them with a flat-head screwdriver. was the TB made for a Prelude? i'm wondering why they would put a new MAP on it.

like i said, try and figure out what kind of map sensor that is. and if its a 2 bar it will work fine, and you just extend the stock harness, and plug the old vacum line. i think the TPS is going to be the hardest.

well see here is where i run into another problem, i'm told that the map given to me on the 70mm is the proper one and will work, but the vacuum lines are all over the place, 2 vacuum lines go to the stock map but they also go a black solenoid type thing with a mushroom type top, that is mounted right next to the oem map sensor, i'm wondering how i run the vacuum lines to this..or if i can remove it...what is that black solenoid??

and yes the 70mm tb is suppose to work on h22/h23 ludes, integras and civics, thats probably why it has the map mounted on it

That's probably a purge solenoid valve. It has a vacuum connection to the charcoal canister (right nipple) and to the manifold (lower nipple).
It controls EVAP system (when engine temp is below 75 degrees centigrade the valve is closed so fuel fumes stay in canister and when above 75 the valve opens and vacuum from mani sucks the fumes to be burnt).
