Default Help me fix my grandma's Accord!

Hey guys, I would really appreciate some advise on fixing my grandma's accord. First it's a 2000 with 35,000 miles and the SOHC Vtec engine.
THE PROBLEM: The car cranks over fine, but will not start. However if you spray some starting fluid into the intake, the car coughs slightly then starts. Once it is started it runs fine. There are no CEL's or anything. Without the starting fluid, the car will just crank over and over again. Please help me, I'm trying to get it fixed for the holidays. Thanks!

When it starts with the starter fluid, does it stay started? Will it shut off or run fine once started? Have you checked the basics...plugs/fuel etc..make sure fuel pump is going when you turn the key over

Check the starter also...

Yes, when it starts with the starter fluid, it stays started. It runs fine once started. I don't hear the fuel pump prime when the car is turned on, but I am used to my loud walbro. Should the sound of the fuel pump be obvioius? Also, could it be the plugs causing the car not to start, I havent pulled those to look at them yet. Thanks for the help, and please keep it coming.

If your grandma drives like, well, a grandma, the plugs could have some nasty carbon build up on them. pull them and check it out. not sure if that will cure the non starting problem, but it couldn't be helping it

def check the plugs for build-up and if they are burnt out...replace, you can still here the pump go if you listen to closely.
