Default License Plate Plugs

WHO MAKES REPRODUCTION LICENSE PLATE PLUGS?

Since these items disappeared a long time ago off of the lots, is there anyone that is making aftermarket plugs or has a connection for a handful or five or six or so?

Hell, I'll paint em.

Maybe I should make the little buggers.

Why not do something unique and use the holes to mount your license plate? Crazy idea, huh.

This guy doesn't have them.

Looks like four unfinished holes.

I have never run my front plate on this car. Pulled once in ten years. I told him I just got it out of the detail shop. He bought it. Gave me a warning. I figure, if I got a ticket, the price of the ticket ain't worth losing the clean look.

Crazy? Like a fox!

You get hassled by the man for no plates in the Rose City?

Heard they passed a law saying it was 'OKAY' for the cops to use swearing as a way of communicating down there. Wassup with that?

I have been hassled before. In all my past vehicles, if I had the plate in the windshield, they would harass me for it. If I had no plate anywhere, they never said a thing. So now I keep it in the windshield and have a copy of the ORS code in the glove box that states it is legal to have it in the windshield.

And that "law" you speak of isn't a law. What it is is that the Portland police says it is ok to use fowl language in moderation and when appropriate. It is one of the few cities that allow it. And it is just making news lately because someone is raising a stink for some reason. For the most part, Portland police are pretty decent and understanding. Just don't cause trouble and they leave you alone. Now there are a few cities that have *** hats for cops. *cough* Oregon City and West Linn *cough*

Typical, right? As soon as some right-wing yuppie starts singing the blues about anything other than the way they like it in THEIR neighborhood it seems to hit the news.

I have been in the city down there and you're right and it's just like any other law enfforcement department, mess with them and they mess right back.

Of course, exempt are the podunk towns were that's their only revenue and they pull just for riding through. I ride a motorcycle too.

I'm trying to find a windscreeen that has a smile on it for those 'Barney Fifes' that seem to think that just because I ride, I am a felon.

If you're not going to be mounting your front plate PLEASE leave it out altogether (do not put it on your windshield). In an accident those things can become nasty projectiles.
