Has anyone had any experience with replacing an F22A engine with an F20A engine? I have a 1991 Accord EX with 180,000 miles on it. A few questions... I am planning on buying an F20A engine that is said to fit in this car. Do I need to swap the engine computer? Also, what sort of tools will I need?

The original engine needs extensive valve and seal work, much to much to be sticking money into it. Will the original manual transmission mount to the F20A engine, and will the distributor from the F22A work in the F20A?

shut up ***.....

i did this swap when i toasted my f22 at 171,000. no new ecu just straight swap. since then have gone to H22 so if you need the f20 hit me up i still have it...

 

I've got an f20a in my prelude with I believe an h22 trans behind it that is going out......what tRans can I go with?

 

Have you swaped the engine?
My f22a the engine got locked and the alternative solution is f20a which is available in my area. My concern is that will the swap over will work or not.
