Default Can I keep my intake resonator in with a short ram intake????

Ok I am either going to purchase a aem short ram intake or powercore short ram intake w/ heat sheild. I want to be able to keep the intake resonator in place and not have to remove it b/c the dealerships around here will void certain warranties with an intake so i want to be able to swap the intake back to stock in a timely fashion. With the short ram intakes can I keep the resonator in place. If not is it hard to take out / put back in the intake resonator. Thanks in advance.

imo, the stock resonator will cut flow to your sri...there's an cheap intake mod where you cut slits into the stock box just to improve air flow...so i suppose you could work your way around the box and keep it there, but your sri woun't be working at optimum levels

and since you have a sri, it doesn't take more than a few mins to replace the stock airbox

Don't know about Powercore, but with AEM, the SRI connects to the throttle body. Neuspeed "P-Flo" SRI will do what you want, use the OEM air flow tube just replacing the OEM air box and snorkle. Think Super Street magazine tested it with a titanium cat back and got pretty good gains.

If you want to keep the noise level down, maybe go with a comptech icebox.

If you want to keep the noise down don't rice around town.

Plus as an added benefit you won't be visiting the service department in order for the warrany to be an issue for quite some time.
