JG Throttle Body question

Default JG Throttle Body question

I got one of these a while back but just getting around to installing it.

I see a problem. There is a bottom "valve assembly" for automatic cars that is on the TB and my GSR obviously does not have that but the JG does. Why would they make a performance TB for auto cars? The gasket also seems to cover up some of the holes.

I was looking at this:



and it's part # 13

Here's a comparison with the manual TB (notice the gasket):



What's the point of having the extra flow if the manifold does not have the holes anyway?

Seems that they all have the auto part.

So do I need to go buy the bottom valve assembly just to cap it off? And the auto gasket too?

Did you check the package it came in? In that case, you should of gotten a part that would block the bottom part off if it was for a manual TB. Just call the place that you got it and return it back to them. Either that, it's time to call JG's company and tell them whats up with that ****.

Nah...it was eBay. Can't do anything about it. Just work with what I got.

Edelbrock sucks ***. Had to wait 1 hour on hold before some guy came on that couldn't help me with the parts but said he would send me the plate if I promised to buy a Edelbrock manifold. Total BS.

Here's what the part looks like:



I guess the bottom outlets are for an extra TPS sensor.

Anyone have more information on this?
