Turbo preludes....how long has yours lasted......mileage, years etc...post

state motor model h22a1 h22a4 h23 etc etc..... mods....stock motor etc... and how long its lasted...

 

so far... 1 year 2 months, 14 days, 16 hours and 9 mins. 37 sec.

h23 8psi now(6 usually) s200bd tuned (fk that thing get ems)

 

theres really no set limit on how long your motor will last....it all depends on your tuning

if you get good tuning and are not constantly in boost your motor should last quite a while

 

He's just wanting to see other people's opinions; it's well known that there's many factors involved in the longevity of a hi-po motor.

Also, please state how much it was usually driven and how hard

 

yeah exactly, im putn turbo kit on in like a week in my h22a4 just curoius to see what most poeple have gotten outta mild tuning and low boost...

bump common i know there are more turbo preludes then this....eveyrone else!?!?

 

fully build H22A4 turbo, running excessive boost untuned

1st engine, Greddy turbo charged... approx 4 months, 3k miles max

2nd engine, custom turbo... approx 2 months, 1200 miles maybe

 

Mine has lasted 2 years so far. JDM H22(10.6:1 comp) running 10 psi, tooned with hondata 2b, and running 550cc injectors on pump gas. Daily driven 100+ miles per day, mostly freeway so it sees 10 psi everyday. Still running strong.

 

my bro's is a h22a4 11 psi daily, headgasket other wise stock internals. mf2 w/ 2 440 cc secondary (f-max set up) for 2 years and no problems

 

i have an h23 that i have been boosting at 7 psi for about 3 months/5000 miles now. i am running stock internals. i have had zero problems so far (knock on wood) that is driven about 50 miles a day roughly and driven fairly hard untuned with the afc hack i agree that if you have it tuned well and dont drive like a complete maniac than it will last a good while. yeah i know i just contradicted myself with the whole tuning thing........

 

Hmm mine lasted 4 months the first time, after taking a year to finish.... and that was just a basic setup, my fault for lettin a shitty shop do it instead of me. Now i have a fully built h23 that has yet to be assembled, my dumbass went and got mono some how

 

bout 2 years driven hard, had JE pistons and Eagle rods for bottom end. Now it is almost runnin again Completely built now.
