Synthetic oil question
My friend uses mobil 1 synthetic oil. Is it ok to switch to castrol synthetic blend or dose it have to just stick to fully synthetic. Thanks for your help guys.

It doesn't have to stick to anything. You can switch any time you decide you want to use something different.
If you want the benefits of full synthetic (better flow when cold, better resistance to breakdown when hot), then get full synthetic. If you want lesser benefits but lesser cost, then get a synthetic blend. If you want lesser cost still, then get conventional oil. Use whatever you want and can afford.
