Default OT: ITR Mugen Rear Swaybar (26mm) ??

Just wanted to find out from those who had bought the Mugen rear Swaybar. What comes with it? The bar, D-Bushings, and D-Brackets?
And does it come with new endlinks, or do I end up re-using them?

When I had the Civic, I bought one and it came with bushings and two frame stiffener pieces of metal. The bushings are made to fit under the stock brackets. On the ITR you either won't get the stiffener pieces or you won't need them, I'm pretty sure I remember reading that somewhere. No end links either. Good Luck.

Dangit! The bar came in today.. Why can't I ever have an easy install? The bar didn't come fully assembled. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to press the bushings into the teenie tiny hole in the ends of the bar. Grr. Tried my hands, a clamp, and finally some pliers. The pliers did the job, but it was still difficult.

After that, it was a breeze to install. The car turns in so much nicer now that its almost scarey Now I just have to wait until Oct 7th to really try it out.

98TYPER300, yep!! You were absolutely right..
I took the car to an empty parking lot behind a building and I was amazed. No matter how much I turned the wheel, the car kept on turning. Heck, I put it to full lock and hit the gas and I didn't still didn't get any understeer. Of course I wasn't going that fast.. Can't wait till autox to explore the new limits.

On a side-note, I was a little perplexed at how flimsy the endlinks are.. How come they don't break?

this might have been covered before but here it goes....with the whole mugen setup..like f/r strut tower bars...and sway bars, NOT including the dampers or lowdowns, what would it overall give you? oversteer understeer neutral?

i know you asked about this NOT including the lowdowns but i can only say how the car handles with the lowdowns. it makes the car neutral when driving around town but when at the track it rotates much better than stock.

Way OT but I just noticed that the Socks on the resivours on that car are not installed right, they are sticking up to much.

Those socks look like a big orange foreskin on the master cylinder. HAHA.

Hey, any of you guys try this(it's cheaper than a Mugen bar)...

install a 22mm front LS swaybar. Then inflate your rear tires 5psi more than your fronts. Pretty nice setup. did it on mine. makes a sweet difference.

Shhh... don't let the secret out!

Dam... now everybody knows... Oh well.. I guess the orders for LS bars just went up by a factor of 10.

dc2jdmhonda, Mugen Lowdowns are plug-n-play. They just drop right in if you're an experienced mechanic. Or if you're like me, it will take a good amount of time.

Yep, the LS swaybar trick is a good one, or so I've heard. But what's the tradeoff for running 5psi more in the rear?

tricks the rear into a false sense of tightness.

it works tho, makes the back end a bit more firm.

Hey, EPGONZALEZ, was there any noticible difference when you added the Mugen front strut bar?

yes...alot more responsive...i ran with just the rear for awhile.me..being a novice had trouble controlling the oversteer at higher speeds..especially freeway on ramps..with the front on..it became a little more predictable for me..
oops..i see just saw strut bar...no difference at all
