Default What engine is best??

I just bought a 95 civic hatch with the original engine is it... Well it is gutless.

I wanna build a streetalbe drag car. Would i be better off going with a GSR, B16 or swap the B18 and make an Lsvtec. I have been in one with the Lsvetc and i was impressed but I know no prices???

Can you help me .

GSR. It's just sooo good. Wiring, install and drivability are second to none. And it's fast.

I disagree. After owning both a CX and a DX EH2 hatch with the b18c1, I was thoroughly disappointed and probably will not ever go anything else less than a b18c5 (Type-R) or a k20a.

None.

The best motor and easiest one to install is the Chevy BigBlock 503. It's got monster torque and horsepower numbers and is so easy to install. It just drops right in!

I went into the swap expecting something that would be fast without being outrageous. That's exactly what I got. For the 7 wires we had to run, and the mix/match of engine mounts, it was a breeze. The power is very manageable, but the big drawback to the GSR is the trans and that stupid FD and gear ratios.

And I love it when you rate someone on how long they've been a member. That for SURE shows EXACTLY how much (or how little) I know.

Edit: How is telling someone to search bashing them?

there are so many options to choose from, the best thing is to search and decide which you want, also money can be a factor each engine has different prices and left over cash into mods for anther engine may be better

shut up n00b. read the post. he said he wants a streetable drag car
that was a ******* n00b post to make yourself look less n00b. but in the end you just look like a trial user all over again

displacement is your friend.

GSR motor is for you. its about 2800-3500 for the swap, depending the how good of a deal you can find.

I think he's saying that the b18 has more potential than the b16, and he's right, the golden rule still applies, more displacement is better, especially in drag.

oh and btw: you could build a drag car without displacement, but mod for mod, its slower than the one with more displacement, oh and for a streetable car, the more displacement means it needs fewer mods to have the horsepower wanted = more reliability.
